Jizo Matcha Party is a series of paintings by Michael Hoffman of six Mizo/monks/bodhisattvas enjoying on another’s company over bowls of matcha.

Michael first painted the broadest strokes in an outline of the jizo and tea in sumi; we then printed those strokes on beautiful German bamboo paper, which was then subsequently painted on again by Michael.
