Gyokuro Heaven

This heavenly set includes:

• 100g of Gyokuro, a uniquely Japanese tea, harvested by hand and, like matcha, grown under black netting for about three weeks prior to harvest. This "babying" treatment of shading the delicate leaves produces potent umami -- it's very dashi-like, and there is nothing quite like it.
• Ellipses, A classic teapot from the Tokoname region of Aichi Prefecture and its 1,000-year history. Elegant yet sturdier than it looks. Makes the preparation and serving of gyokuro very special. 
• Noir and Pearly Gray cups - Made in the Mino-style of beautiful yet practical ceramics, in the small town of Taji, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. These two-toned cups are glazed on top only; the lower part is the raw earth-toned clay, giving them a soft and inviting touch.
